CommunicAsia is traditionally one of the major telecom shows in the Asia-Pacific region, and this year was no exception. There was a large turn-out from the cellular wireless handset manufacturers. As well as most of the major cellular handset manufacturers (apart from Nokia who were holding a separate event elsewhere in Singapore, away from CommunicAsia). There was also several Chinese manufacturers present : Elitek (9), Huawei (14), UT Starcom (15) and ZTE (18).

There were large displays of cellular wireless handsets from the Korean manufacturers LG (56), Samsung (47) and Japanese Kyocera (26), Panasonic (14). Siemens were showing 12 models. Taiwan's Newgen were showing 14 different cellular handset models.

CommunicAsia 2005 in June 05 was held in the new exhibition centre in Singapore.
